So this ties together the before and after perfectly. And it still brought tears to my eyes. It's just something about the way your write, it's so haunting. It gets me every time.
I also like the simpleness in that last sentence. How their love is less frantic and needy, just knowing that Archie is there is enough for Cook to relax.
