I love that song too! And Joey is SOCUTE, c'mon, dancing and everything ♥ And and, I have totally seen vid of Committed, and they are totally cute and talented! I really liked their "Every Breath You Take", too :)

The best thing about the song is the way everybody knows it, so it's an awesome party song. XD

I thought Committed were awesome, but I didn't like their "Every Breath" - it was far too cute when it shoulda been creepy (I already told you about my ~issues with that song, but it's NOT supposed to be sweet and fluffy, dammit). I was all for Street Corner Symphony, though - did you hear their Creep? Or their Fix It? Goosebumps all up and down my spine.

Yes, totally awesome party song! I will admit to karaokeing with my team on occasion, as is one of the cultural bonding things on the Island, and we totally rock this song XDDD

I KNOW your EBYT issues, but if they had done it creepy like it was meant to be, they'd have totally bombed (though it woulda been awesome!). I was linked to Committed youtubes; I don't watch Sing Off and so I missed Street Corner Symphony - I just googled their Creep and HOMG it was amazing! (FTR, I recall you being big into the choral works :))

Imo, if you can't do EBYT right, you shouldn't be doing it at all. ;P The judges actually called them on their lack of grit on that song (cue me pumping my fist in the air and applauding the judges) - it was supposed to be rock, and it wasn't, not at all, so they kind of did bomb a bit anyway.

Sing Off was an awesome show. Made me realise how good a reality contest can be when you have kind-but-constructive-and-competent judges, and everybody loves what they're doing. If you liked Creep you should totally look up their Fix You as well. And, well, all the other songs they did (other than the Beatles medley, because that kind of bombed). They were my absolute faves, followed by the Backbeats (who was a very new group and it showed a bit sometimes, but they gave some truly awesome performances - I recommend "If I Were A Boy", "Landslide" and "Love Shack" - and I have a major crush on their vocal percussionist, ahem) and then Committed came in third for me, purely because they lacked a bit of, well, grit.

Sing Off didn't air on the Island, so I relied on fandom squee over the occasional vid to keep me up to date. And boy, that "Fix You" is really something! They have that edge all right.

It didn't air here either (we get all the other crappy reality contest, but this one? Not a peep), so I bought a season pass with a giftcard for the US iTunes. It's one of those things that's technically maybe not quite legal, but I can't for the life of me see that anybody gets hurt, so I don't feel bad doing it. iTunes get their money, and I'm not robbing any Danish vendor of revenue. *shrug* It was money well spent, imo.

Bruce/Sting. I ship it. XD
