Please don't die, bb; this was the sweetest comment :) I was absolutely trying to make an atmospheric fairytale setting, with the snow, and the symbolic fire horses, like the baby's totem animal - and she's a redhead like Cook, so I wanted for fire to represent her as well, and echo the fire of her birth.
