Quickdrabbles Fic 36: Focused on what I could attract...

You made a pact, you dropped the act, you focused on what you could attract...

Meh, I'm feeling somewhat written out - I am working on a wedding story (a separate story
from the one on which I'm collaborating with the fabulous [livejournal.com profile] frackin_sweet), and it's not going too well - and I want to start on this cracky R possibly-canon, possibly-AU bordello fic, and my guitars-by-gaslight AUbigbang, but I have just no impetus.

And I'm in Court this afternoon, WOE.

As a way of importuning the Muses, I thought I might try the drabbular method recently employed by [livejournal.com profile] timeisgone, [livejournal.com profile] kissesblow, [livejournal.com profile] orochi_kitty and [livejournal.com profile] otherbella.

Hundred word drabbles, snatches of story, any Cook, Anthemic, AIS7 pairing; crossovers with X-Men, BtVS/AtS, Discworld, Holmes, The Law. I think I have a tiny legalesque Cook/Ryan Seacrest somewhere! I'll even write you self-insert (of you). Leave me a prompt (word, song, whatever) and rating. Will turn around fast, so as to importune quickly XD

Gorgeous pic from the insanely talented [livejournal.com profile] ciudad, used with permission.

If you thought this was good, you should see my Cook/Simon Cowell, downstream! Now, this is a pairing that I thought would make me wash my brain out with soap ;)

[identity profile] honeybeemmw.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 12:28 pm (UTC)(link)
BB, I will be there with frickin bells on! Also, Nine 1/2 weeks in L.A. sounds vaguely porn filled, y/n? Dare I make assumptions? XD

Re: Spin [R] - Part 2

[identity profile] cincodemaygirl.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 12:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, I would never have guessed that pairing could ever be hot! <3

[identity profile] jehane-writes.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, it's pretty porny (and messed up kind of porn) but it's also sad - you know that year ends badly for them. But I really enjoyed making adult-Arch perspective, so I loved writing it!

Eeeep! Maybe technically this counts as stealing a birthday fic, but it's perfect. LOVE this. Thank you SO much! <3

[identity profile] honeybeemmw.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
ooooh! More Archie POV and porn to boot? I'm also anticipating the angst. May I be greedy and ask when you will spoil us and post this??? :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FISHIE! <3333333

I am so glad to have been able to write this in time for ♥your♥ birthday :D

And thank you for your insight into Andy's motivations, which found its way into this fic.

I have it coming for idolbigbang. Um, I guess nobody will see it down here in the comments, so here's a tiny spoiler:

[NC-17, obviously; SPOILER for Labyrinth 2015: Nine 1/2 Weeks in L.A.]

Cook wants to play another game, and this involves the ticking sound of the antique clocks in their house, the loud gongs of the long, elegant Austrian cloche that stands in their hallway, the sound of Cook’s wristwatch, an old-fashioned Panerai.

Cook gives Arch a diamond-studded Rolex with an expensive mechanical movement and a unique, hourly chime.

In this game, the sound is the trigger: "When you hear this sound, at this time, think of me, and touch yourself."

Cook changes the time every couple of days, and when he isn’t home he leaves Arch voice and text messages with numbers on them. It drives Archuleta to distraction; he finds himself sitting at home or writing or being driven to appointments, checking the time on the wall or on his wrist, the simmering fire building slowly under his skin, making him infernally aroused.

800 on his cell, and Arch hears the hall clock striking the hour, and he rises from his morning juice and cereal and takes himself to their bedroom, where he strokes himself to his climax as directed. “1400 hours,” is all Cook says on the phone in the little music studio in their house, and Arch leaves it on speaker as he jerks off, very slowly and vocally, leaning back in Cook's leather director’s chair. His handheld beeps1900, and the sound emanating from his Rolex is so oppressive (at this time, think of me), and his sudden erection is so uncomfortable, that Arch has to excuse himself from dinner with his agent and rush to the nearest men’s room to take himself in hand.

In later weeks, Cook takes to pointing to his own wrist as a sign that Arch should do what Cook’s asked of him, that doesn’t necessarily involve touching himself; by this time, Arch’s eyes water automatically, as do other things.

Too right that Reichenbach's the gift that keeps on giving! <3

AND THIS IS MY ATTEMPT (OBVS VERY FEEBLE) TO LURE YOU INTO WRITING HOLMES!DAVIDS AU. is it working???

So presh, you've got that aethereal ambiance again!

Re: Eagle's Wings [PG-13]

[identity profile] lire-casander.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
You wrote myth? You wrote this piece of art about one of the most beautiful myths out there! I think I love you. LIke, a lot!

[identity profile] honeybeemmw.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you might be trying to kill me. I'm so conflicted - it's like UNF but also *sad façe* because Cook's game is effing hot but also kind of Pavlovian and controlling. Regardless, DO WANT because I am a Cookleta fic whore apparently. IDEK anymore. XD *sits and waits patiently for the rest of the story*

I'll never get tired of revisiting this verse. EVER.

I love how they're back to square one with more wisdom and the same love.

Pst, it's Barna. Barça is the name of the football team ;P

Re: Need You Now [PG-13]

[identity profile] otherbella.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
♥___♥

every piece as beautiful and heartbreaking as the sum of its parts.

Wonderful.

:D I love writing in this whimsical, myth-anthropormorphic way Neil Gaiman, one'a my fave writers, does this SO well, I'm so happy to follow in his footsteps!

AND I TOTALLY LOVE THIS COMMENT. AND YOU <3

ummmm, Cook only knows the football team? heh?

I think this myth is gorgeous, and the Reubens painting SO unf-worthy! <3

I love you too, as you know ;)

*hugs you* thank you, sweetie! I am still mulling over making it into a Neal/Arch fic, for you ♥

Re: Need You Now [PG-13]

[identity profile] lire-casander.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Ahahaha, it's okay, I just thought I'd fill you in with that. Barcelona has several names, and one of them is Barna, like an abbreviated way.

LMAO. Real Madrid is quite better, even if Barça is killing us with their talent.

[identity profile] jehane-writes.livejournal.com 2010-01-22 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Honey, that is TOTALLY what I was going for in this snippet (sorry, not trying to kill you!). Coked-out Cook loves his boy so much, but has become paranoid and controlling, and Arch stays because he thinks he can deal (and because he regrets running out on Cook in 2010). And the sex, as always, is hot, but it's also become a power thing.

Should posty next month, I think!

What little I know of X-Men comes from the movies, which I got into late, even, so... I wouldn't know about x-nerdiness! :D Ty for writing!
